About the event

As the nation’s mental health crisis worsens, students are at risk of using substances and engaging in other unhealthy behaviors. Linda Richter, Ph.D., a psychologist and Senior Vice President of Prevention Research and Analysis at Partnership to End Addiction, will present the core elements of an effective, comprehensive, research-based strategy to promote healthy development, foster resilience, build interpersonal skills, and prevent and address mental health problems and substance use in educational settings. She will highlight the importance of a health-based approach (rather than a punitive one), as well as the benefits of professional training and family engagement in fostering student resilience and reducing the risk of substance use.  Joining Linda will be Andrew Goldman, Consultant to the Partnership for K12 solutions and business development and former Chief Strategy Officer at Great Minds.
